Quis sum?

Who on earth is the person who has put together the single most useful site on the entire Internet?  Glad you asked!

I'm Steve Perkins and I have taught Latin for over thirty years from middle school to undergraduate levels.  I'm a past Indiana Teacher of The Year and the co-author of Latin For Dummies, the second edition of which is coming out in March of 2022 to mark its 20th anniversary.  You can read about my other work and publications on my main site stevenrperkins.weebly.com.  If you're curious to know more, you can follow my educational blog intoy2014.blogspot.com, and if you're really, REALLY curious to know more, follow me on Twitter and Instagram @intoy2014.

And if there any others out there who, like me, enjoy not only the classic works of Latin literature but also classic hard rock and heavy metal music, then be sure to check out my podcast, The Wildman & Steve Show, on all podcast platforms and at wildmanandsteve.com.

Credit Where Credit Is Due

A new Latin teacher came to our high school my senior year, Miss Marcene Holverson, and she was the one who introduced me to Vergil's Aeneid.  After she married she became Mrs. Farley, and there are legions of students who know her better by this name, but there are a few of us around who go back to the Holverson era of Latin.  At any rate, she loved and still loves this epic work of literature and has inspired countless others to do the same.  This website is dedicated to her.

Would you really want your Latin, Vergil, and heavy metal served up by someone who WASN'T dressed as a centurion?  For more on my Roman re-enactment work, visit romanpersonas.com.
